I keep running the "fix breaks" routine and each time it says there are still 11 breaks. So I ran "fix time code breaks" : It says that it has found 11 breaks but they don't seem to get fixed. vob file I get a message "Warning: the stream may have timecode breaks". I then desided to try it again by opening one file at a time, instead of all of them. This took about 20 hr to do and my end result is footage that "lurches" along (stops & starts every few seconds) and the sound is out of sink with the footage. vob files and ran it through MPEG StreamClip and chose "Export to Quicktime". This must be a bit dumb question, but bare with me.I recently imported a video to my hard drive using MacTheRipper.

:) I am about to rip/burn a disc, that has 2 movies (double feature).
#DVD2ONEX CONSTANT OR VARIABLE MOVIE#
The whole disc is 6,3 GB, so it´s safe to say, that both movies are under 4,3 GB (so no compression needed when burning one movie from the disc). There are no extras or subtitles, nor 5.1/ DTS-tracks. I used MTR to rip the disc, and then went to the DVD2oneX.

This "Compression Ratio" got me confused. It says (from the "help"): _ "The Ratio popup-button allows you to select between 'Variable', 'Constant' and 'Selective'. **Variable Ratio: When selecting 'Variable' the 'old' engine is used for processing the movie. This will result in a movie quality know from recent versions of DVD2oneX v1.2.0. **Constant Ratio: Selecting 'Constant' will enable the 'new' engine for processing the movie. This will result in a much better movie quality than known from recent versions of DVD2oneX v1.2.0. This mode is especially for processing long movies. **Selective Ratio: Selecting 'Selective' will enable the 'new' selective ratio for processing the movie and will enable the level popup button at the right side. This new engine is a different way of approaching the video data! Selectable in three pre-defined levels, this new engine determines the balance in distincting the important screen parts from the less important ones. Things that are not in focus in the current frame, like backgrounds, are low in detail or as we define it, of low importance to the screen and can be approached differently than the important ones. With this new compression method, setting the popup button to low will lead into a scheme where the important parts of the screen are a bit more compressed than the less important ones. Compressing of low important parts can result into macroblock because the original encoder in a good encoder setup already achieved the best possible compression without loss of detail.

In medium the important parts are even more compressed than the non important parts, and in high the compression is almost done only on the important parts." _ So what shall I do, since I don´t want compression AT ALL? Am I using wrong software for this (when I don´t want any compression, but I still have to rip the disc, to get rid of the other movie).
#DVD2ONEX CONSTANT OR VARIABLE FOR MAC OS X#
I guess I have to use "Title Only Extraction" from MTR, since I can quite clearly see from the timecode which film is which.Impressive little tool for Mac OS X that shrinks all your DVD-9 movies into a single DVD-R (or DVD-RW/ DVD+R/ DVD+RW) with an amazing speed.
#DVD2ONEX CONSTANT OR VARIABLE FULL#
DVD2ONEX 2.0 FULLĪnd by amazing, we're talking about 20 minutes for compressing the full DVD-9 movie into one DVD-R (with modern hardware).

Program removes all extras and menus from the disc, but allows user to choose what audio and subtitle streams to leave on the disc. If the movie fits to one DVD-R after the extras have been removed, there's no need for compressing the movie itself. But if the movie has to be compressed, program will make it fit exactly on one blank DVD-R and really, seriously, does the compressing within 20mins with modern PC.
